When movie ''Bohimian Rapsredy'' came out my mom said (while being in Slovenia for holidays):'' I know you will be busy visiting your friends, but can you have one evening time for us to go to the cinema and whatch the movie?''. Whell, OF COURSE. The movie was amazing and all I could thing back then was, how amazing it would be if my mom comes to visit me and we go to Montreux to see the actual Studio?

That chance finally came in October 2021, when she came to visit me and stayed over for a week. So, we sat on the train and 2h later we were in Montrux.

Montreux is a city located by the Geneve lake (german: Genfersee) in canton Vaud. Population around 25.000, the official language is French and if you are a fan of Jazz music, they are hosting Jazz Festival every year. A beautiful promenade with a lot of flowers by the lake offers a beautiful view of the French mountains.

Studio is located in Casino Barrière de Montreux. It formerly belonged to Mountain Studios and was used by many famous music artists such as David Bowie, Rolling Stones, and of course also Queen. Queen composed and recorded 6 of their Albums between 1978 and 1995.

On the way there, in front of the Market square of Montreux, you will see a 3m tall, bronze memorial of the one and only Freddie Mercury that was unveiled on November 25, 1996. It has become a significant landmark and a popular attraction for fans of Freddie Mercury and Queen.

The experience allows visitors to step into the world of Queen and gain insights into the band's recording sessions at Mountain Studios in Montreux. It features a collection of memorabilia, interactive exhibits, and audiovisual displays showcasing Queen's time in Montreux and their creative process. Visitors can see original instruments, costumes, and other artifacts associated with the band.

The Queen Studio Experience provides fans with an immersive journey through Queen's musical career and their special connection to Montreux. It's an opportunity to get a closer look at the band's history, especially during the period when they recorded some of their most famous albums in Montreux.

For any Queen enthusiast or music lover, this experience comes highly recommended. Montreux, with its picturesque surroundings and the Queen Studio Experience, is a must-visit destination. The journey through Queen's musical legacy in this historic studio is both enlightening and entertaining. If you have the chance, don't miss out on this immersive and captivating tribute to one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
